The survey collects spending information from visitors to West Virginia that arrive via the state’s 24 airports (using either general aviation [GA] or commercial airline service). Visitors to the state spend money on lodging, entertainment, food and beverages, retail, and much more. Capturing this data is necessary to calculate the comprehensive economic impact of airports at the local, regional, and state levels.
